Bridgette Ralph is from a small town in southeast Texas. She is an incredibly unique artist who has loved art and music her entire life. Bridgette earned a degree in Music Composition from Columbia College in Chicago and at that time she never imagined that she would be a painter. Instead she was pursuing a career composing for film. Once she began her family, Bridgette took time off from work to raise her kids and that is when the spark for painting became ignited. In 2002, she was given some art supplies and she immediately fell in love with paint and color. She is self taught and has learned how to paint through much experimentation. She is deeply influenced by the freedom, playfulness, and color of children’s artwork. Her use of color and acrylic techniques set her apart from other artists and artwork alike. She enjoys using acrylic, chalk, and latex paint, paint rollers, markers and paint pen to produce explosive color abstract compositions. She has been showing her work professionally since 2003.
