For as long as Emily can remember, she has been attempting to build things and figure out how they work. As a child, she would make and design furniture for her dolls and play in her dad’s workshop, using all of the woodworking tools that her tiny hands would allow. Ehr’s Mother taught her the value of creativity and self-expression, but Emily found her true passion in working with metals. She first started experimenting with piercing; casting and hammering metal, then setting rough cut stones and making unique, wearable art. She then continued on to raising bowls, forging iron and welding furniture; her passion never dwindling. Her favorite materials to work with are copper, silver and bronze because of the way the change color with human skin, body type and alkalinity.
